Welcome to the 08 – 09 School Year

Welcome new and returning families! For our kids this promises to be an exciting time of learning and discovering Ukrainian language and culture. We appreciate our teachers, organization committee, church parish and other supporters for providing this opportunity and continuing a great education tradition of over 75 years.

End-of-Year Picnic!

Come one, come all - to the end-of-year school picnic on Saturday, May 17. We will meet directly at the Hyland Lake Park Reserve (Edgewood Picnic Area, near the chutes and ladders play area) at 10:30 a.m., where we will have a graduation ceremony, followed by our picnic. Food and beverages will be provided. Please contact Juliana for additional details. This should be great fun! And no geese, hopefully!

St. Nicholas' Day - Sunday, Dec. 16

This Sunday after church, our school will be putting on its annual Mykolaya program, including a performance of Rukavychka (The Mitten) by the younger students. Please make sure your kids know their songs and poems! There will also be a visit by St. Nicholas (just one gift per child, please) and a fabulous varenyky lunch.

Nov. 3 - Parents Committee Meeting and Maskarada

Lots of activity at school this upcoming Saturday, Nov. 3:

1) Parents Committee meeting at 9:30 - updates on upcoming events, plus a forum for Q&A

2) Teachers meeting immediately after school

3) Maskarada! See you all, in costume, back at school at 5 p.m. This is going to be a wonderful event, open to all the kids in the community.

No Moleben Oct. 6 - School Starts at 9:30

There will be no church service before school this Saturday, October 6. Classes will start at 9:30 a.m. sharp - so please try to come a few minutes early. Thanks!
